Just Speak is a Detroit-based nonprofit dedicated to movement-based, healing-centered education that provides crisis support and resiliency programming for children and youth.

To promote Just Speak's important work as part of Co.act Detroit's Nonprofits in Action Design Showcase, END Studio worked with some of Just Speak's youth participants to design a fun and empowering interactive activity to co-create the installation.

During a movement-based workshop, participants received paints and cardboard canvases to express themselves. The team of choreographers provided music and dances for the youth to perform. Embodying rhythm, emotion, and freedom of self expression, the participants painted with their hands, feet, and bodies.

Installed in the storefront window at Co.act Detroit along Detroit's busy Woodward corridor, the playful shapes and informational panels paraded across the display. LED lights helped create an engaging display both day and night to bring attention to the impactful work of Just Speak.

Youth program participants painted signs with their hands, feet, and bodies during a choreographed movement workshop led by Just Speak staff in END Studio's Corktown office.

The resulting panels were displayed in the storefront window at Co.act Detroit's location in New Center, allowing thousands of commuters and neighborhood residents to learn more about Just Speak and their impact in the community.
