Design in process for Fungi & Fungal, a new retail store selling mycology grow kits, gardening supplies, and home goods on Detroit’s east side.  

Designed with the needs of mushroom enthusiasts in mind, the storefront features flexible seating, mobile workstations, and modular shelving that can be reconfigured for classes and workshops. A long wooden countertop creates separation between the retail and café areas, adding a rustic touch that evokes “old hardware store” vibes. Through the playful combining of modern, salvaged, and natural elements, the design complements the existing architecture of the space, putting a unique, earthy spin on the general store concept.
