Design in process for a community space including two new rentable commissary kitchens, a central workshop room, and the operating headquarters for the client. The design is focused on function, adaptability, and refinement to establish a space that is accessible to teaching chefs, catering businesses, and small-scale public events. Dynamic color blocking highlights each individual kitchen space blending together at the central workshop. Highly textural materials and fun lighting installations add an exuberant element to distinguish the design among other commissary kitchens. The exterior face lift includes murals on the garage doors and a private courtyard circled by warm wood fence and lush plantings.
